"I installed them in an Epiphone Les Paul, replacing the dead stock pickups. The reasons are obvious. This was preferable to changing my pickup selector to read "Mud" and "Icepick". The best way to describe the sound is to say it's a clone of the Seymour Duncan 59/JB combo. In my mind, it's the perfect PAF tone. Punchy, thick, slightly compressed, with each note so clear it sings.
The pickups are simply among the best PAF-Style Humbuckers I've ever played. Hands down. Wonderful warm, fat tone."
