The switch is built in to your tone control by use of a push/pull pot, so no extra mods are required to your guitar. The new Obsidian® Custom 7 Way wiring harness for Stratocaster® has had a complete over hall, to make the super versatile 7 Way wiring mod even better. The new upgraded harness retains the '7-way' switching inspired by David Gilmour, but improves the tone control layout, smooths out the tone and volume control responses, and gives you two volume control 'voices' so you can get your guitar setup exactly how you like it.

For the 'Gen2' model we have assigned 'Tone control 1' to the neck and middle pickups. This leaves 'Tone control 2' as a dedicated bridge pickup tone control, for balancing the brighter treble in switch positions 1 & 2.
